As for earnings, £13-16 an hour on class 2, £18/20 on class one.
Specialist stuff (events, touring, tankers covered car transport) you should be looking at 1400/1600 a week, but be prepared to be away from home for long periods at a time.
The Ed Sheeran tour was 155 days. Usually they are 6/8 weeks away. Events are up to 3 weeks

The very best of luck getting a job at fords. It’s dead man’s shoes and a family member working there to get a start.
Getting a job with no experience means you will realistically be doing food delivery work (schools, hospitals Starbucks McDonald’s etc) and although reasonably well paid it’s stupid start times and long days.
If you want to do rock n roll work either me or hatred could get you an in, but you need a class one.
Personally I’d look into working a crane or a 360.
You can kill hookers and still be an accountant. We don’t have the monopoly on it.

There's a few female lorry drivers now.
Do they murder gigolos?

Day work is ok but fuck tramping (nights out) for a lark. Trying to find somewhere to park when your tacho is running down your drive time and motorway services are all full so you end up in a lay by on the A5 rocking and a rolling all night, no thank you.
Drove puddle jumpers for a while but was never really tempted to follow in the footsteps of my old man and go full bifter, mainly because of the above although day work is a lot better paid nowadays.
My mate runs fish out of Lochinver to Lorient and takes home £750 a week, good job his Mrs hates him as he’s only home once a fortnight.
Orses for courses and all that.

My Brother in law used to drive the oil tankers said he got more money doing that than normal lorry haulage.
But think you need to get extra training or certificate things as not all lorry drivers can drive the oil tankers.

6 replies and no one had asked why you have to change career to murder prostitutes.
Surely you can murder prostitutes no matter your line of work?
Unless you want to splatter them with a HGV of course. Although driving without an appropriate licence is probably not a huge legal consideration if you have murderous plans.

From what’s I understand, to become a lorry driver entails:
1. Pass all your licenses.
2. Forget everything you learnt and drive like a cunt.

If you're unemployed you might be able to get free training.
If you pay for it yourself make sure it's actually a training school and not a broker
You can make decent money at it nowadays, thanks to BREXIT and certain other factors.

My nieces other half left the army 3 years ago... been doing security work including a few months out in the Ukraine but got fed up with it... he's on his last week on HGV course... self funded cost him £4k so he told me... told us last week he wished he'd done it as soon as he left the army... earning potentials are ridiculous if you really want to put a shift in... he said he knows a couple of tanker drivers that work just weekends and they live very easily just doing that... once he gets the green light he'll only be working in the UK... but yeah Joe R is the man you need to yap to...
I'm taking VR with taking early pension so will be looking for a PT job... probably some shit driving job for 3 days a week... long as it gets me around a grand a month I'll be happy and better off than I am now...
